Types of Wood Fence
Picket Fences are classic fences which consist of vertical boards (pickets) and horizontal rails. The pickets do not touch and are spaced evenly. Picket fences are available in a variety of designs and sizes.
Privacy Fences are also known as Stockade fences. Privacy fences are similar to Picket Fences. However the vertical boards are placed close together creating privacy. Privacy fences are available in a variety of designs and sizes.
Split-Rail Fences are typically used for agricultural or decorative purposes. They are built using wood logs that run lengthwise. A wire mesh can be added to some types of Split-Rail fences to provide more security for children and pets.
